After three years, Jon Jones returned to the UFC octagon and won the heavyweight title at UFC 285 in Las Vegas. Jones was making his debut at heavyweight but only needed 2 minutes to submit his opponent through a guillotine choke.

The win has stretched Jones’ MMA record to 27-1-0 and solidified his status as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time.

Jones also joins an elite class of fighters who have won UFC titles in two weight divisions (light heavyweight and heavyweight), including Conor McGregor and his bitter rival Daniel Cormier.

"I've been working for this for a long time," Jones said. "A lot of people thought I wouldn't even be coming back. I've been faithful to my goal. I've been faithful to the mission." Two-time heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic was cage-side watching the contest. Jones immediately called out the former title holder during the post-fight interview with famous Internet personality and podcast host Joe Rogan. "Stipe Miocic, I hope you're training," he said. "You're the greatest heavyweight of all time, and I want you. I want you real bad."

Ending the post-fight interview, Jones referenced his GOAT (greatest of all time) status by saying, “baa,” imitating the sounds of an actual goat.
