Teenage Student in mainland China smuggles pancakes into Campus during lockdown.

A teenage student Studying at a school in Northwestern China (in the province of Gansu) was expelled for smuggling scallion pancakes into the campus during a lockdown.
The scallion pancakes were from the Student’s family business and were delivered to her by her family, who snuck into the campus through a ladder. Her family then handed the scallion pancakes to her, hoping she could sell them to her schoolmates to earn a profit.
The campus had been under lockdown since late September, with all students staying inside their dormitory, and prohibiting all visitors, including family members from entering campus grounds.

The details of her expulsion were announced via an internal school memo, which immediately went viral on Chinese social media platforms. This resulted in severe backlash from Chinese netizens, who criticised the Handling of the Covid lockdown and the School’s complete lack of empathy for the student and her family.
"The school should just have given her a warning. A family that is doing OK financially wouldn't let the child do this," commented one user of Weibo.
Fortunately for the student, the county government interfered, and the school’s decision to expel the girl l was revoked hours after the announcement was made.
