Project Sekai - A Colorful stage
Project Sekai, Proseka(世界計畫 繽紛舞台) created on September 30, 2020, is a Japanese rhythm mobile game. It is a spin-off of the Hatsune Miku; Project Diva series. The game is set in the real world with fictional virtual singers that come across a new world called “Sekai”, meaning “world” in Japanese and also symbolising “New world” in this title.
Project Sekai is a colourful rhythm game that includes gacha, vocaloid, and immersive songs that will have you adding to your Spotify playlist. Project Sekai also includes gems that you can obtain after participating in multiplayer matches with others, or solo matches by yourself. The gems can be used for rolling card characters that also come with outfits and different accessories to customize. You can level up character cards to obtain different features and unlock boosters and traits to help improve your gameplay and immerse yourself in this rhythm game even more. Project Sekai character cards also include extraordinary splash art featuring on their cards while having a theme of clothing, story, and personality depending on the events being featured. Project Sekai also collaborates with the other companies of SEGA, Craft Egg, Colourful Palette, and Crypton Future Media.
Project Sekai also features some of the most popular and well-known vocaloid like Hatsune Miku, KAITO, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and the twins Kagamine Rin and Len. These vocaloid singers appear in not only Project Sekai, but all over the video game industry. Vocaloid singers like these appear all over the world, featuring mainly in Japan and also created in Japan.
Project Sekai has also gained popularity over the course of the years because of its specialised remark in music. Project Sekai includes Japanese songs being covered by Project Sekai characters and singers making it unique for the rhythm game industry yet also taking gamers by a pleasant surprise. Project Sekai’s covered music also features a unique element of different ranges when singing such as songs that use vocal synthesisers, standalone software, or virtual studio technology. Additionally, the company invites normal voice actors or singers to cover songs. In some cases, songs can be a mixture of vocaloid singers and voice actor-singers on one cover of a song.
The gameplay of this game includes different modes, making it challenging yet enticing for players to enjoy. The modes of difficulty in the gameplay include easy, normal, hard, expert and lastly, master. To unlock master mode, you will have to clear the expert stage with a certain high score. As the difficulty increases, beats and rhythms on the rhythm game map increase speed as well as the tiles. Project Sekai also includes a series of speed increases, therefore being able to choose the map speed, but not being able to change the tiles and beats of the overall map.
