Thoughts For Food

Mostly when I wake up my first words are “What’s for breakfast?” After finishing my breakfast I ask “What’s for lunch? What’s for dinner?” So I thought one day “All beings sleep and wake up, once awake all are caught in the vicious cycle of finding food. Hence, one cannot understate the importance of food.

Unlike other creatures, the only struggle for a modern human to get a meal is to queue up at a food stall or supermarket. So, over time we the common people have become less thoughtful and in some cases even less skillful in the art of consuming and cooking healthy food. People have become so occupied with other things, that they randomly pick junk food for consumption without reading food labels. Moreover, they manage to waste even more food than they eat.

So through this article, I wanted to urge the readers to spare some time and put some thought into what they consume. Now the next question that arises is “How do we consume thoughtfully?”

Here are some tips:

  • Eat your fill before heading to a supermarket, so that you don't end up with impulsive buying

  • Prefer fresh food to packaged food

  • Learn quick, yummy and easy recipes to make simple dishes at home.
