Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is setting quite a few new records for the MCU

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the newest Marvel movie that was released on February 17th. Yet it is setting a few new records for the MCU movies, but for the wrong reasons. Ant-Man 3 has mixed critics and reviews, and audience members agree with them after watching the movie. The movie, which kicked off Marvel's Phase 5, has the worst week-on-week drop for any Marvel movie so far.
The movie had a $106 million dollar opening, but after the poor reviews and critics, it only gathered $32.2 million in its second week in US cinemas. That was a 69% decline between the first week and second week of sales. It became the biggest drop of any Marvel movie ever, which beat Black Widow, the previous record holder which fell 67.8% as well as Eternals which fell 62% after poor reviews too. It was a massive plummet for a film that was projected to meet high expectations and expected to maintain significantly high ratings. Week 3 would soon start, and people are predicting what the movie's lifespan will look like; if it would settle into a steady rhythm or continue to drop down.
