England Wins the Icc T20 Cricket World Cup for the First Time in 12 Years

England defeated Pakistan in a nail-biter clash in the finals to lift the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Ben Stokes and Sam Curran starred in the thriller as England defeat Pakistan by five wickets, making them the first-ever team to hold the T20 and ODI World Cups simultaneously.
England won the toss and chose to bowl first. The team did exceptionally well by stopping Pakistan at just 137, a relatively low target to defeat. Pakistan fought hard to defend their humble total though it would never be enough against England's strong line-up.
Pakistan took the early wickets of English batsman Alex Hales, Phil Salt, and Jos Butler within the first 6 overs which gave the team and the millions watching at home a ray of hope. However, they were no match for Ben Stokes' experience on the pitch. Ben Stokes scored 52 from 49 balls just when his team needed it the most as England chased down Pakistan's meagre total.
Sam Curran was crowned Player of the Tournament, racking up 13 wickets throughout 45 matches spanning over a month. Sam Curran was also crowned as the Man of the Match for his tremendous bowling, contributing to Pakistan's low score.
